Lenten collection 2025

Lent is approaching, and Caritas Finland invites everyone to support families, young people, and individuals in difficult situations. In recent years, the generosity of parishes and donors has enabled concrete aid for those who are outside the social support system. A heartfelt thank you to all who contribute!

Why Donate to Caritas’ Lenten Collection 2025?

Caritas Finland carries out long-term charitable work based on love for one’s neighbor and practical assistance.

• Guidance and counseling: We help migrants and those facing financial difficulties navigate Finnish society.
• Financial support for children and youth: We assist families with camp fees so that children and young people can attend for example first communion and confirmation camps.
• Christmas aid: Thanks to donations, we distribute food gift cards to those who do not receive support through other social services.
• Internships and recreational activities: We provide opportunities for participation and integration into the community.

Growing Need for Support

Rising living costs, insecure employment, and stricter residence permit policies make life more difficult for many parishioners. Many need support to settle in Finland and become equal members of society. The need for aid continues to grow, and donations play a crucial role in our work.
