Projects in Finland
Community and volunteering
Caritas Finland also works within Finland’s borders. There are two ongoing projects that increase community.
We also do charitable social work. Read more about them at the link.
Volunteering development project
The project, funded by the German Bonifatiuswerk, develops Caritas Finland’s volunteer activities and cooperation with parishes and volunteer organizations. We also aim to gather a group of Caritas ambassadors from all over Finland.
Do you want to become a Caritas ambassador? Read more on the page that opens after the link.
A project supporting Ukrainians
Caritas Finland has a project that supports Ukrainian refugees living in Finland. The target group is mainly the Greek Catholic community. Father Andrii Khomen works in close cooperation with Caritas personnel. The goal is to help refugees find their place in Finnish society and support them with studies, work and other activities.
In addition to information and training, we also organize various cultural and other events for young people. Getting attached to a new society is a long process and in addition to your own diocese/parish, neighbors and new friends help you.
