The Nepal project is coming to an end – how will the results be evaluated

Our three-year project, Climate Resilient Agricultural System for Small Farmers in Nepal (CRASS), will end at the end of 2025. The objective of the project has been to help smallholder farmers find environmentally friendly and local solutions to the challenges posed by climate change. The activities have included training and research on the cultivation of different crops, supporting farmers in chicken farming, and building irrigation canals. But have these activities been effective in terms of the project’s objectives? Are the results likely to be sustainable? Every Caritas project involves examining these questions. The investigation is carried out by an external evaluator to ensure that we receive expert and objective information about the impact of our work.

At the moment, we are looking for an expert in Nepal to assess the impact and results of the CRASS project. The evaluation will be completed at the end of the year, and it will be shared with the project’s main funder, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. And of course, we will also share the results of the evaluation with Caritas members, followers and donors, so stay tuned!
