Ukrainians made colorful Easter eggs

Father Vitalii organised several Easter egg workshops, with the support of Caritas Finland, the Greek Catholic Church in Finland, and partner organizations. In April, a warm and inspiring Easter egg decorating workshop took place in Lahti. The event brought together Ukrainian families, children, and all those interested in exploring the traditional art of pysanka.

Participants had the opportunity to try various decorating techniques, learn about the symbolic meanings of colors and patterns, and create their own unique Easter eggs. The event fostered a joyful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural heritage, even far from home.

“We are pleased to announce that this event will become an annual tradition in Lahti, bringing together the Ukrainian community and everyone who values culture and Easter traditions. Heartfelt thanks to all who helped organize and take part in this meaningful celebration! Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen!” says father Vitalii.
